Addie is a 2 year old, 36 pound beautiful female pit mix. Addie was found as a stray and turned over to a shelter. We find it hard to believe that Addie got away from someone since she was very fearful to go outside at first. She now goes out into the fenced yard with no problem at all, but we are still working on her leash walking. She gets scared and will plant herself and not move. Each day she is getting better with this! Addie LOVES everyone. She is being fostered with small dogs and cats and does fine with them, however she does sometimes get jealous of the other dogs. Addie especially loves food. Her foster mom has had numerous foster dogs but has never had a dog get as excited to eat as Addie. It could be due to the fact that she could stand to gain a few pounds. Addie is a very sweet dog that her foster mom feels would be fine with children. She is really the perfect size dog. Addie is crate trained and we are working hard on her house training, which is coming along very well now that she enjoys going outside. Addie has a nice energy level. She likes to play and chew on appropriate chew toys but she also likes to cuddle on the couch. Is Addie the perfect dog for your family?
