This sweet, 10 pound, 8 year old Maltese boy was a stray found in the city. It was obvious that Jasper had been ignored by his owner for some time because he was matted, had toenails so long he could hardly walk and was flea infested. Even through his ordeal Jasper has been a gentle and good natured fella. He always wants to be by his person?s side and will follow them room to room. He?s just looking for someone he can give all his loving to. When happy he will lick your face and it seems as he is actually smiling. Sometimes his tongue hangs out a bit, but it?s adorable. You see poor Jasper had rotten teeth and we had to remove the few he had left. He doesn?t seem to mind at all, he loves his soft food. When he is really happy about food he?ll even do a special ?food dance?. You?ll want him to do it over and over. Jasper enjoys the company of other gentle dogs and would love a home with adults or older children. Some place on the quiet side, as he is a mellow boy. He loves his naps, but always willing to get up and go. He is good on the leash and he hasn?t met a person he hasn?t liked. He is working on crate and potty training, which he is picking up quickly as he is a smart boy. Currently Jasper is on a supplement to assist his liver and will be reevaluated in a month to see if it is beneficial for him. He is a wonderful companion and he?s looking for someone who will never throw him away again. Jasper gives so much love and devotion.
