Description
Coffee is a sweet girl that loves attention. In fact she loves it so much, she generally wiggles around because she doesn?t know what to do with herself! In her downtime, she enjoys chewing on a bone or lying at your feet. High with energy she loves to run around in the yard and jump up on things, so her new owner would ideally have a fenced yard. She is house broken and will whimper and wiggle to let you know she needs to go outside. She was a turn over to the Rochester Animal Shelter for being destructive. The owners left her in the house alone during her teething phase and she chewed on some things so they turned her in. Coffee is crate trained! She is a bit hesitant to enter her crate but once inside seems to feel comfortable. She was then fostered, and picked up by another family for adoption. She was turned in again with a ?bite? on her record. The story is she jumped up and hit the family friends lip with her head and cut the humans lip. She loves to jump up and give kisses which is why Coffee would probably do best in a family with older children or no children. After her second turn in Coffee was quarantined for 10 days which consisted of being locked in a room with no walks or potty breaks. This mentally broke down Coffee even more. With the possibility of being put down, the volunteers and the previous foster worked with the animal shelter and she was adopted by her Foster Dad to avoid being put to sleep. She is overcoming her time in quarantine and still loves people and other dogs!!
Coffee is a wonderful dog, loving, and still a puppy. She is highly energetic, very strong, and is good with other dogs. Also she is so so soft and has the cutest little smush face! Please consider making Coffee a part of your family!
We provide as much information on each animal's history, disposition and health as we can gather. Most of our dogs are from shelters and are strays, therfore we may not have any information at all on them, or what breed they are. We strongly believe that honesty is the best policy. We want each of our animals to find the RIGHT home, not just ANY home. Likewise, we want you to find the pet who best matches your lifestyle and interests. You will first be required to complete our adoption application. Once received, a WT rep will contact you via phone or e-mail. If it seems you are a good fit for each other based on the info you provided, a phone interview will follow. If you are renting, we require proof that you are allowed to have a pet as well as any breed or size restrictions that may exist. If you have pets or did previously, we require your vet information and we will call them to verify that your pets are in good health, current on vaccines and spayed/neutered. We require that all pets in the home be spayed/neutered unless there are health reasons that can be verified with the vet. The final step is a home visit, where an WT volunteer comes to your home to verify your home is a safe place for an animal.
