*(includes microchip fee) 11/01/12 - Guapo has been a perfect guest so far at his foster home. He is a great dog and so easy to have around. He loves the other dogs and is just happy to be with them. He loves attention and playtime with his foster parents. He gets so excited that he will actually run out of the room in excitement and come racing back in. We laugh at him and he begs for more attention. Guapo does know some obedience commands and he is very happy to show you what he knows. He loves doing high 5's for a treat. Guapo is a wonderful eater and has good dogs manners. Guapo is a good size boxer boy. He will be going to the vets tomorrow to be brought up to date on his vaccinations and for a check up. I will let you know exactly what he weighs after our visit. During the work day, Guapo spends his day in his crate and does well in there. Once he knows you have treats in your hand, he will beat you to the crate and happily goes in. Not a word out of him. I do believe that Guapo would do well without being in a crate when not at home and I will try that soon. He really seems to be over the crazy stage. Guapo has a big bark and will let you know when he sees something that worries him outside. When he is outside, you only have to call his name once and he is there so you better be ready for him. He is so sweet and I think he would be a wonderful addition to any family. In my opinion, anyone would be lucky enough to share their home with this great guy.
10/20/12 - Guapo has arrived at the Boxer'In and we are all anxious to get to know him. So far, he has been perfect. Such a nice boy. Very calm and has met all the girl residents here. He is very happy to take his place in the pack and our queen bee had no problem showing him that she is for sure always the boss with no room for negotiations. He took it like a pro. Guapo's name is pronounced gwah po. It means handsome and good looking. This boy is exactly that. I will get some pictures tomorrow so that you can see how cute he is. He ate a good supper and is at my feet as I type this. He is going to be one lucky catch. He and Bella were from the same household. They are just at different foster homes now. Guapo is said to be good with other dogs and has lived with children. More on this good boy soon.
