Rusty is an 8 yr old, 40 lb boy who joined us from Kentucky where he was in a shelter since July. He was a staff favorite due to his wonderful disposition and the way he would light up when people came by or he was given a toy to play with. He may be 8 but he still loves to play. Rusty does great with other dogs of all sizes but does not do well with cats so needs a home without cats. He quickly wins over any who meet him as he is so easygoing and easy to be around. Travels well, just curls up and rests, has passed that puppy stage where he is jumping on people or chewing things. This is the type of boy you can bring into your home and not worry about. Someone is going to be very lucky to have him in their family and we would love to see him in a home of his own by Christmas. He deserves to be spoiled after his long wait. The shelter called him a shepherd corgi mix, we feel he is more lab than shepherd. He also has a stub corgi tail that is so cute. His adoption fee is $100 and he has been fully vetted. Please consider meeting this wonderful boy to see if he might be right for your home. Please remember though that all rescued dogs have baggage and if you do not have the patience for a rescue dog, especially an older one, then please do not apply. He has already had a rough life and does not deserve to be adopted and returned which only adds to his confusion.
