Brie is a courtesy posting for our rescue so if you are interested in her please contact the person whose information is at the end of this description. Hi, my name is Brie. I am a 14mos. old shepherd/lab mix. I weigh about 60-65#, and have a shiny black coat with beautiful brindle on my paws and head. My warm brown eyes will melt your heart! I was found as a stray at 9 mos. old and lived in a shelter until my foster Mom rescued me. I am up to date on my shots, spayed, and know basic commands such as sit, stay, come, give paw, leave it, and lay down. I love people, even men and strangers, and enjoy being petted. I am sweet, cuddly, and my foster Mom lets me cuddle with her on the couch and sleep with her at night. I prefer not to be left alone but I am doing nicely in my crate, up to 6 hours or so and then I need a break. My foster mom leaves the radio or TV on for me to help me feel less alone. I love a fenced in yard or the country where I can play without being tied up. I don?t like being tied up but I do well on a leash. My foster Mom uses a training pinch collar which I tolerate very well and it reminds me not to chase squirrels. I play nicely with 2 large dogs in my neighborhood but bossy, dominant dogs scare me. I have to be introduced to new dogs slowly and properly. I need a well balanced dog who can be patient with me, and I have a lot of potential to be better socialized, and while not necessary, my new family and I would always benefit from a few training lessons. I love to go on walks and car rides. I follow my foster Mom everywhere, am very loyal and I attach well to whoever is caring for me. I can settle down nicely but I need daily exercise. I love my toys, chewing on bones, and kongs stuffed with peanut butter. I am a great companion and will get even better as I mature. I am still a puppy and learning not to jump on people and curb my puppy mouthing. My foster Mom says I am doing a lot better with it! I do best with consistent boundaries. I love to please and just need a little patience, a calm, secure atmosphere, and respond well with treats as rewards. I would be better in a home without cats, and while I love children, I can be strong and playful, and would never want to hurt small children. Older children who can remind me to mind my matters would be best. My foster Mom?s neighbors and friends all say I am so sweet and would adopt me if they didn?t already have their own pets. I just need someone to believe in me and realize the great potential I have if I can stay put in a forever home!
