Due to unfortunate circumstances in life I am forced to try and find a new home for my two senior Jack Russell Terriers. They are 11 years old and while I wish I could keep them for their remaining years I find that between my work schedule and involvement with children and countless other things, they simply do not get the attention they deserve anymore. They are wonderful dogs, the male (General) being very enthusiastic with chasing and returning his tennis balls and the female (Peanut) being an affectionate ?lap dog? who would want nothing more than to lay with someone as they watch television or other activity. Ideally I would want them to go with someone who can spend their remaining years showing them the attention and affection they crave that I can no longer provide. They are people dogs showing no interest in other dogs but being very friendly to visitors and guests as well as children, the male being a bus stop mascot for the kids when they go to school. The only bad mark against them is they cannot go to a home with cats, they do not get along with them very well.
Please, I know there are people out there who would benefit greatly from my two dogs and would show them the care I can no longer afford. I am asking for nothing in return except that whoever takes them cares for them and gives them attention and joy in their final years. Anything has to be better than spending almost every day alone in an empty house where they cannot run or interact with others.
