Spitz (and brother Spatz) had a difficult start in life. They were born to a 2nd generation feral mom. They spent the first 3 weeks of their life in a pile of logs until they were rescued by RTPA. They did not trust people and would cower and hiss when they saw people (hence "Spitz" & "Spatz"). Sadly, Spitz had to have one of her legs removed. She spent almost two months in a veterinary office fighting for her life. Today, she is 100% healed and healthy. These siblings can be adopted separately or together. They are still hesitant when they see new people and will sometimes hide. They are now able to be handled and will begin to purr one they know the person can be trusted. The person who adopts these babies will need to be patient with the for the first few weeks. They will need time to get use to their new surroundings and learn to trust their new parent(s). They were raised around other cats and dogs and are comfortable with both!
