Blanca as seen through the eyes of her Foster Mom...Blanca is a sweet girl who loves everybody! Her disposition is happy and enthusiastic.
She is very smart and easily motivated by treats. She is working on sitting before she gets treats, scratches and pets, leash on or off, door open, etc. One of our local trainers calls this "nothing is free." She knows "sit" and "wait" and "easy": The "easy" command works well for leash walking (which is one of her favorite activities) when she gets too excited. I "pay" her a treat when she sees a squirrel so she has learned not to try to chase them on leash.
Blanca has an abundance of puppy energy and plays well with her 2 foster siblings. She loves to run and will bring her ball back to you if you trade for treats. Tug is another favorite game.
She shares our home with 9 cats and has never shown aggression toward them. When they run she will chase them, but all in the spirit of play.
She is house-trained, but, like a little child, doesn't always remember to ask to go out. Being aware of her body language has eliminated the occasional accident that she had in the beginning of her stay with us.
Evenings will find her on the couch next to my husband chewing on a hoof, natural bone or rawhide. She is a gentle and loving companion who will steal your heart.
